BUSHCRAFT AND SURVIVAL EXPERIENCE IN THE BRECON BEACONS WALES

Learn essential bushcraft and survival skills that will enable you to create a functioning expedition camp. Using a variety of techniques you will learn how to make your own comfortable natural shelter, how to light and manage a fire, how to arrange a fire for cooking and many other wilderness skills.
At the end of this experience you will have learned some very useful skills and acquired an enhanced understanding of the natural world and how it can provide for all the necessities of life.
A typical day and overnight stay includes:
Morning
Welcome,
basic skills &
use of equipment
Navigation- with or without a compass
Shelter building-
ropes & frames
construction
Afternoon
Woodland gathering of materials
– what can you eat?
How to spot signs of animals etc.
Friction fire and other methods
Oven Building
Food preparation i.e. gutting fish or skinning rabbits and cooking
Evening:
Evening Meal &
overnight camping - sleep in your own made shelter or tents.
*Adult groups are welcome to bring along their own drinks for the evening meal and camp fire.
Breakfast next morning
Light breakfast i.e. Bacon roll or continental breakfast / Tea & Coffee.

Set in the foothills of Pen Y Fan (the highest mountain in South Wales) this is a wild camping woodland area, next to a stream, a beautiful and remote location. Daytime and overnight bookings available.
The Wye Valley - (approx 3 miles from Chepstow)
Forest location with plenty of wildlife, an established bushcraft site- daytime bookings only (no overnight stays).
*We require a minimum of 4 people for this activity, if you are an individual or less than 4, you can join in our Open
